Busy busy weekend for our amazing teammates!

We have four big events occurring simultaneously this Sunday, September 7th, 2014: Ironman Wisconsin, Nations Triathlon, Tour De Chocolate Town and New Albany Walking Classic.

Since this teammate will start earlier than everyone, and finish well after all of you have showered from your events – let’s kick it off with honored teammate Jason Pullins! If you haven’t heard yet, he will be competing in Ironman Wisconsin this weekend! For those of you who do not know what an Ironman race entails, it is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. Sounds fun, right?

Next – we would like to wish our teammates heading out to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Nation’s Triathlon the best of luck! From the Columbus area – first time TNT participant Ben Christy will be tackling his FIRST triathlon – Olympic distance no less. Alongside Ben – teammates Ashley Meuser, Peter Jones, Sue Breitenstein and Coach Nancy Knickerbocker will be representing the Ohio Chapter.

 

Let’s hear it for the cyclist teammates who are headed to Hershey, PA for the Tour De Chocolate Town Century Ride! It seems as though the cyclists have had some tough events in the last few season – Vegas (HOTTTTT), Michigan (Rain), and Sunday in June (MORE rain) ….. what’s it going to be this weekend? We are predicting the perfect balance of sunshine, winds at their backs and fun times!

Good luck to teammates Janine and Jeff Oman, John Zimdars, Kristen Wilcock, Michele Murphy, Ralph Oliveti, Tim Hamburger, Tim Musselman, Tina Hogue, Todd and Wendi Jenkins. They will be lead by Coach Larry Jenkins!

Last – but certainly not least – our amazing walking teammates will be taking on the New Albany Walking Classic event this weekend. It’s the very first ALL WALKING event TNT has been a part of, and we’re very excited to celebrate our walkers at this unique event. A HUGE GO TEAM goes out to teammates Melissa Margiotta, Heather Koch, Gina Combes, Teresa O’Bleness, Julie Parr, Jes Gwin, Rhonda Hillis, Windi Hurley and Rena Saroiberry! They will be joining by our rockstar coaching staff Jeff White, Jim Tucker and Megan Kennedy.

 

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND to all of our amazing teammates who will be competing! You are making a HUGE difference in the lives of patients and their families with every stroke, pedal and step you take.
