Fall Season Kickoff on June 14th, 2014!

Hey Team!

We are only two weeks away from kicking off the Fall season … WE CAN’T WAIT!

At the kickoff – we will be hearing from Team Hero Drew George and/or his mother Julie. Drew is a Worthington sophomore who was diagnosed late last year with acute Leukemia. He just came home recently from a receiving a bone marrow transplant provided by his sister, who is also a WKHS student. The season hasn’t even started yet

10408649_10152218159417620_7645043729125624856_n – and we’ve already heard from several teammates how in one form another, they’ve met Drew through coaching, heard about him through the community, know his family through work or word of mouth because of social media. This young man is truly impacting his community through his journey, and we feel very honored to support him and his family in our fight against blood cancers.

After our first mission moment of the season, we will breakout into Run/Walk, Cycle and Triathlon. From there – your coaches will introduce themselves, go over some morning announcements, and then follow with a short workout to kickoff the season. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know!

On behalf of blood cancer patients and their families, thank you for being a part of Team in Training, and helping us reach our goal: a world without blood cancer. GO TEAM!
